Elizabeth Warren Sticks It to the Banks

Senator Elizabeth Warren (it still feels good to say that) has not backed down from her campaign rhetoric after she entered the senate chambers this session. She is working hard to hold the banking industry accountable for their role in the Great Recession. I hope the bankers (and fellow senators) have learned their lesson – economic-justice-minded Harvard lawyers do not back down. A video of her grilling various bank regulators went viral yesterday. In it she asks, when was the last time that they brought an actual Wall Street bank to trial? When they cannot answer the question or try to dodge it, she does not allow them to do it. She makes them out to be the bumbling. She concludes by proposing that “too big to fail has become too big for trial.” Watch below and admire her lady power.
